Alvarez brings over 30 years of experience in every facet of the real estate world to her six year tenure with Cervera. This extensive background includes: office management; strategic business planning; budget creation and implementation; P&L management; development and deployment of systems and processes; recruiting, training, mentoring and supervision of staff all this and more before even a single mention of her many successes in sales and marketing!
Ms. Alvarez has been specializing in property sales and consulting with international, seasonal and investor clientele since this clientele first started investing in Miami real estate. She specializes in the Key Biscayne, Brickell, Coral Gables, Coconut Grove and Pinecrest markets. Among numerous awards she has received throughout her career, some of the more noteworthy include: Realtor Associate of the Year (from the Miami Association of Realtors, formerly the Miami Board of Realtors); Executive of the Year (from Related Cervera Realty Services); and as branch manager for Coldwell Banker's Key Biscayne office, she was recognized as one of only 26 offices nationwide to achieve 100% customer satisfaction.
Active involvement in her chosen industry extends well past her day-to-day professional responsibilities. Ms. Alvarez has held key positions with the Miami Association of Realtors (Director and Secretary, Executive Committee of the Corporate Board; and Director, Residential Society); and the Grievance and Professional Standards & Arbitration Committees (Chair). She was appointed to the Presidential Advisory Committee to establish the International Council, one of the first such councils within the National Association of Realtors; and other positions include those with the Real Estate Professional Association of Key Biscayne (Director, President); the Key Biscayne Round Table (Director); and the Miami-Dade County Master Brokers Forum (by invitation only).
Born in Havana, Cuba and fluent in English and Spanish, Ms. Alvarez has lived in the greater Miami area for the vast majority of her life. She is a firm believer in giving back to the community where she makes her home. A tireless volunteer for the United Way of Miami, Ms. Alvarez has served as Chair, Youth Development Services, Resource Management Division; and she has contributed on several other committees and bureaus within the United Way. She is also a dynamic participant in the Village of Key Biscayne, serving as co-chair of the Citizens Committee for a Community Center; serving three terms on the Zoning Code Review Committee; director of the Key Biscayne Chamber of Commerce; business community representative to the Key Biscayne K - 8 Center's Educational Excellence School Advisory Council (EESAC); and numerous additional volunteer positions that contribute enormously to the overall betterment of her community.
