Comercial Real Estate division at Cervera brings Coya restaurant to Brickell financial district
March,02 2015Coya, a new Latin American restaurant backed by some of the same investors who own Zuma, is coming soon to 999 Brickell Avenue in Miami.
The 8,000-square-foot restaurant, which includes a bar, restaurant and outside terrace, as well as a private club with private terrace, will open during the week of March 10, said Carmen More, restaurant and commercial specialist with Cervera RealEstate.
"They knew Miami, and they knew they wanted to be on Brickell because of the lunch business," More, who also represented Zuma five years ago, told The Real Deal.
Coya will offer contemporary Peruvian cuisine, including ceviches and anticuchos.
"It has the same Zuma vibe, but with Peruvian style," More told TRD.
The Brickell location will be Coya's first in the United States. The restaurant currently operates in London and Dubai.
For its Miami space, Coya brought in London-based Sagrada to design its interiors. Sagrada also designed its restaurants in London and Dubai, More said.
"It looks like no other Latin American restaurant," she said. "The build-out is beautiful."
